The fourth racket in the world is German Alexander Zverev has agreed with his ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea to drop a domestic violence case, reports journalist Jonathan Crane.
Previously, Patea, with whom Zverev shares a daughter, Maila, accused the tennis player of causing bodily harm during an argument in May 2020. The Olympic champion denied the accusations and appealed the fine of $450,000, pronounced by the court in October 2023.
According to the journalist, the parties resolved their differences amicably.
The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) also conducted its own investigation into the situation, but due to the lack of reliable evidence and eyewitness accounts, the case was closed.
Zverev will face Norwegian Casper Ruud in the Roland Garros semi-final on Friday.
