Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk lost in the doubles semi-final Roland Garros 2024.
Ukrainian woman with Elena-Gabriela Ruse from Romania met with Italians Yasmine Paolini and Sara Errani. The three-set match lasted more than two hours.
Kostyuk and Ruse easily won the first set. In the second game there was a tense fight, the Italians managed to take three breaks, missing two of their serves. In the decisive set, Paolini and Errani dominated and confidently brought the match to victory.
Let us remind you that Kostyuk and Rousse beat the French duo Clara Burel / Chloe Paquet in the first round, after which they dealt with the pair Maria Bouzkova / Sara Sorribes-Tormo (Czech Republic / Spain). Next up was a win over ninth seeds Leila Fernandez and Erin Routliffe (Canada/New Zealand). The Ukrainian and Romanian advanced to the semi-finals without a fight – the “neutral duet” Mirra Andreeva / Vera Zvonareva withdrew from the competition.
