“I never doubted that Russian tennis players would be allowed to participate in the Paris Olympics. I’ve talked about it many times and I’ve known it for a long time.

I hope for successful performances. I would like our athletes to return from Paris with Olympic medals. Although no one is safe from surprises. I am optimistic and convinced that we have chances, and they are not small,” Kafelnikov said in an interview with a “Championship” correspondent.

Recall that, according to the ranking, at the Olympic Games, which will be held from July 26 to August 11 in Paris, Daniil Medvedev, Andrei Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Roman Safiullin will perform among men, and among women – Daria Kasatkina, Lyudmila Samsonova , Ekaterina Alexandrova and Mirra Andreeva.
