Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Former President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev reported that Andrei Rublev, Karen Khachanov and Lyudmila Samsonova would not participate in the Games in Paris. On June 13, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) admitted to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris all the strongest Russian tennis players qualified for the Games according to the ranking.
Thus, Kalinskaya will replace Samsonova in singles. The athlete ranks 24th in the WTA rankings. Daria Kasatkina, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Mirra Andreeva will also perform at the Games.
The Paris Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced in December 2023 that it would allow Russian athletes who successfully qualified for the 2024 Olympics to have individual neutral status without a flag, anthem or other national symbol.
