World number two Aryna Sabalenka has said she will not participate in the 2024 Olympics due to a busy schedule and injuries.
“At this stage of my career, given all the injuries in recent months, I have to think about my health. The schedule is too busy,” Sabalenko said, as quoted by Tennis Temple.
The 26-year-old Belarusian athlete is a two-time winner of the Australian Open (2023, 2024) in singles, as well as two Grand Slam tournaments in doubles.
The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
