Morozova on Schneider’s inclusion in the Olympic team: “I watched her in Birmingham. She’s a fighter, she’s not afraid of anyone.”

French Open doubles winner Olga Morozova told that the Russian tennis player Diane Schneider included in the candidacy for the 2024 Olympic Games, feels the field well and is not afraid of anyone.

In women’s singles, Schneider, Mirra Andreeva, Veronika Kudermetova and Ekaterina Alexandrova are registered. Andreeva/Kudermetova and Alexandrova/Schneider will perform as a duo.

“I just came back from Birmingham, I was watching Schneider. You know, I really like him. She has a very good state of mind, she has an incredible feel for the ground, she has softness in her hands. She played as a couple – it’s clear she’s incredibly talented. She had her knee bandaged in Birmingham, I hope she’s okay. Diana will be ready for the Olympics. Plus, she’s a fighter, she’s not afraid of anyone.

As for the other girls, Mirra is a young tennis player, she performed well in France, I think we can count on an excellent performance. Kudermetova and Aleksandrova are experienced, they are our strong link. “We have every chance of winning a medal,” Morozova told .

Schneider is 20 years old, ranked 49th in the WTA rankings in singles and 83rd in doubles.

Paris will host the Olympic Games from July 26 to August 11. The tennis tournament will take place on clay courts.
