Participation in the 2024 Olympics could have a negative impact on the income of some Russian tennis players who have already lost various sponsorship deals, a source told .

On Tuesday, the Russian Tennis Federation (RFT) announced the team composition for the Paris Olympic Games. In men’s singles, Daniil Medvedev, Roman Safiullin, Pavel Kotov and Aslan Karatsev are entered, in women – Ekaterina Alexandrova, Mirra Andreeva, Veronika Kudermetova and Diana Schneider. Medvedev/Safiullin, Kotov/Karatsev, Andreeva/Kudermetova and Alexandrova/Schneider will perform as a duo.

— Some top Russian tennis players refused to participate in the Paris Games because they did not want to lose their winnings. Others declined because they had already won Olympic medals. Many have lost various contracts; participation in the Olympic Games would result in a drop in income.
