Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova, ranked 36th in the world rankings, reached the quarter-finals of the WTA-250 tournament in Birmingham (Great Britain). In the second round, she beat Italian Lucia Bronzetti (world number 67) with a score of 6:3, 7:5.

The meeting lasted 1 hour 25 minutes. Potapova had an ace and committed three double faults, converting all four break points. Bronzetti made three aces, committed four double faults and converted two out of six break points.

In the quarterfinals, Potapova, seeded seventh, will face the winner of the match between Harriet Dart (Great Britain) and Barbora Krejcikova (Czech Republic, seed number two), which takes place tomorrow, June 20.
