Ukrainians lost in a dramatic match to Wang Xin Yu and Zheng Saisai
Ukrainian tennis players Nadezhda Kichenok And Lyudmila Kichenok completed their performances in the doubles tournament WTA 500 V Berlin.
In the quarterfinals of the event, the Kichenok sisters lost to a pair from China – Wang Xin Yu and Zheng Saisai. The meeting lasted one hour and 54 minutes.
Both sets ended in tiebreak. In the first game, the Ukrainians gave away the advantage (2:5), after which they were unable to get the necessary break (6:8). In the second set, there was an equal fight both in games and in the tiebreaker, where Nadezhda and Lyudmila first lost a set point, and then gave up their serve in the 14th rally (6:8).
Let us remind you that the Kichenok sisters will play in doubles at the 2024 Olympics. Another duet from Ukraine at the Games in Paris is planned to be Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremskaya.
