Russian Anna Kalinskaya reached the final of the WTA 500 tennis tournament in Berlin.
In the semifinals, Kalinskaya defeated Belarusian Victoria Azarenka with a score of 6:1, 6:7 (3:7), 6:1. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Kalinskaya played her second match of the day; Earlier on Saturday, the Russian met the world’s third racket, Arina Sabalenka. The Belarusian could not finish the match and withdrew with a score of 1:5 in the first set due to a shoulder injury.
In the tournament final, Kalinskaya will face the winner of the match between Jessica Pegula (USA, 4) and Corey Gauff (USA, 1).
