Russian Mirra Andreeva failed to qualify for the 1/8 finals of the WTA 500 tennis tournament in Bad Homburg (Germany).
In the first round, the 17-year-old athlete, seeded 8th in the tournament, lost to Ukrainian representative Dayana Yastremskaya – 6:4, 4:6, 3:6. The meeting lasted 2 hours 8 minutes.
For Andreeva, it was the first match after the semi-finals of Roland Garros, where she lost to Italian Jasmine Paolini.
To reach the quarterfinals of the competition, Yastremskaya will compete with the winner of the match between Angelique Kerber (Germany) and Diana Schneider (Russia).
