Today, June 23, during the final of the Berlin tournament, the Russian Anna Kalinskaya lost to the fifth racket in the world, the American Jessica Pegula. In a tense match that ended in three sets, the American representative won, taking the title of champion of the tournament in the German capital. Final score: 6:7 (0:7), 6:4, 7:6 (7:3) in favor of Pegula.

Note that Kalinskaya had five match points. In the first set, with the score 3:0 in favor of Pegula, she requested a medical timeout due to pain in her lower back and leg muscles and called a doctor.
