All Russian and Belarusian tennis players will be required to sign a declaration of neutrality to participate in Wimbledon, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) told .
The Wimbledon tournament will take place from July 1 to 14.
“All players from Russia and Belarus will compete as neutral athletes and must sign a declaration of neutrality in order to participate in the championship,” organizers told .
Last year at the tournament, the same rules applied to neutral athletes. In 2022, organizers did not allow representatives of Russia and Belarus to attend Wimbledon. As a result of this decision, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) stripped the tournament of ranking points and also fined the AELTC and the UK Lawn Tennis Association ( LTA).
