With the score 2:6, 5:6 (30:40), Potapova slipped to a set point. As a result, she fell painfully and injured her knee. The Russian took a medical timeout, after which she managed to return to the match.

Potapova moved the match to a tiebreaker. But with the score 1:4, she withdrew from the match. Until now, nothing is known about Potapova’s condition.
