Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Lyudmila Samsonova, ranked 15th in the world rankings, failed to reach the quarterfinals of the WTA-500 grass court tournament in Bad Homburg (Germany). In the second round, she lost to the world’s 27th racket, Katerzina Siniakova of the Czech Republic, with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (7:3), 3:6.

The match lasted 2 hours 32 minutes. Samsonova hit six aces, committed four double faults and converted three out of nine break points. Sinyakova hit two aces, committed four double faults and won five out of eight break points.

In the quarterfinals of the Bad Homburg tournament, Sinyakova will meet Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic, 49th in the world, who beat another Russian, Ekaterina Alexandrova, in the second round.
