The Ukrainian gave her opponent only three games
Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva beat neutral Anastasia Tikhonova in the semi-finals of the Wimbledon 2024 qualification.
The match lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes. In the first set, Starodubtseva gave her opponent only the opening game, after which she made three breaks and easily took the first game with a score of 6:1. The second set was also dictated by the Ukrainian – she only lost a game on her serve once, but again made three breaks and triumphed 6:2.
In the final of the Wimbledon 2024 qualification, Yulia Starodubtseva will meet with Australian Maddison Inglis. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, June 27.
Today, Daria Snigur also qualified for the finals of the Wimbledon 2024 qualification – she beat Katarina Zavatskaya in the Ukrainian match.
The Wimbledon 2024 single main draw entry included six Ukrainians: Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, Lesya Tsurenko, Angelina Kalinina, as well as Katerina Beindl, who used a “protected rating” for her entry.
The British Grand Slam tournament will take place (in the main draw) from July 1 to 14. In last year’s Wimbledon, the best among Ukrainians was Svitolina, who reached the semifinals.
