Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Bad Homburg (Germany).
In the quarterfinals, Blinkova was defeated by Bulgarian representative Victoria Tomova with a score of 6:2, 1:6, 6:7 (9:11). The athletes spent 2 hours and 12 minutes on the field.
Blinkova played her second match of the day earlier on Thursday, the Russian advancing to the round of 16 against Brazil’s Beatrice Haddad-Maya.
Tomova will face Croatian Donna Vekic in the semi-final.
