Andy Murray to play doubles at Wimbledon after surgery

Former British world number one Andy Murray and his brother Jamie Murray are preparing to compete in the men’s doubles at Wimbledon 2024, the tournament’s official website reports.

Andy’s participation in the tournament was in doubt as he underwent surgery to remove a cyst from his spine. Doctors advised the 37-year-old tennis player to take a six-week break to recover from the operation.

However, now we learn that the Murray brothers have received a wild card and will perform for the first time at the British Open, which will be held from July 1 to 14.

Andy Murray is a two-time Olympic champion and three-time Grand Slam singles champion.
