The pairs of opponents who will play in the first round of the Wimbledon men’s singles tournament have become known.
Russia’s First Racket Daniel Medvedev who received the fifth seed, will play against the American Alexander Kovacevich, Andrey Rublev (6) – against the Argentine Francisco Comesana.
Karen Khachanov (21 years old) will meet a compatriot Aslan Karatsev Pavel Kotov – with Jordan Thompson from Australia, Roman Safioulline — with Francisco Cherundolo from Argentina.
The first racket in the world, the Italian Jannik Sinner (1), will face the German Jannik Hanfmann in the first round. Seven-time Wimbledon champion, number two in the ranking, Serbian Novak Djokovic (2) will meet Czech Vit Kopriva. The third racket in the world and current winner of the tournament, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (3), will face the Estonian Mark Layal.
Wimbledon main draw matches will take place from July 1 to 14 in London.
