Russia’s First Racket Daria Kasatkina admitted that it was very difficult for her to win the final match of the WTA tennis tournament in Eastbourne (Great Britain).
In the deciding match, the Russian defeated Canadian Leila Fernandez with a score of 6:3 and 6:4. Last year, Kasatkina also reached the final in Eastbourne, but lost to American Madison Keys.
“A year has passed, but it feels like I was here just a few days ago.” I want to congratulate Leila on a wonderful week. Today was a very tough battle. And I would like to have more meetings with her at such serious stages of tournaments,” Kasatkina said after the match.
Kasatkina, 27, won her seventh WTA singles title.
