Russian Daria Kasatkina moved from 12th to 8th place in the race for the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) championship, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.
On Saturday, Kasatkina won her seventh career singles title at a tournament in Eastbourne, England, and scored 510 points, giving the 27-year-old Russian a season total of 2,173 points.
Winner of the Bad Homburg tournament Diane Schneider gains 22 places in the season standings and now occupies 34th place.
The leader of the race is the world number one, the Polish Iga Szwiatek. Next come Belarusian Arina Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.
