Athletistic / Tennis. The Wimbledon press service has addressed the world’s third-ranked tennis player, Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, after her decision to withdraw from the tournament in 2024. This is due to the athlete’s injury.
“Arina, we will miss you this year,” Wimbledon’s press office said in a statement on social media.
Instead of tennis player Arina Sabalenka, Russian Erika Andreeva will perform at Wimbledon 2024. Previously, she failed to enter the main draw of the Grand Slam on grass through qualifying, but in the first round match, the 20-year-old Russian representative defeated American Emina Bektas.
Aryna Sabalenka admitted last week that she is not in the best shape at the moment and that her shoulder problem is not typical for tennis players and requires special treatment.
