Russian tennis player Diane Schneider spoke about cooperation with the former 18th world racket Igor Andreev .
Last week, Schneider won the WTA 500 grass-court tournament in Bad Homburg (Germany). The 20-year-old Russian is ranked 30th in the world. The tennis player began working with Andreev in 2024.
“At first I thought it was not the right time to start (the collaboration). Grass is a very unpredictable surface, how can he prepare me for that? But we get along well on and off the court. I hope we will work together for a while. His coaching style is very simple, but at the same time, when someone can explain complex things with simple words, it’s very cool,” Schneider told the WTA’s official website.
In the first round of Wimbledon, Schneider beat Czech Karolina Pliskova in three sets; in the second round, the Russian will face American Sloane Stephens.
