Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev and Brazilian Marcelo Demolin has withdrawn from the 2024 Wimbledon doubles tournament due to the South American’s poor health, journalist Michael Samulski reports.
On Thursday, July 4, the athletes were scheduled to face Ecuadorian Gonzalo Escobar and Kazakhstani Alexander Nedovesov in the first round of the competition. However, now on the official Wimbledon website, Escobar and Nedovesov’s opponents are Romain Arneodo (Monaco) and Sam Verbeek (Netherlands).
The men’s doubles tournament in the British capital will last until July 13.
