World number five Pegula has withdrawn from Wimbledon after the second round.

The world’s fifth-ranked player, American Jessica Pegula, failed to reach the third round of the Wimbledon tournament.

In the second round, Pegula (5th seed) was defeated by China’s Wang Xinyu. The match lasted 2 hours 10 minutes and ended with a score of 6:4, 6:7 (7:9), 6:1 in favor of the Chinese representative.

In the next round, Xinyu, ranked 42nd in the world, will face the winner of the match between Katie Boulter (32 years old) and Harriet Dart (both British).
