The Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) also planned to include Veronika Kudermetova and Aslan Karatsev in the bid, but they have not yet received an invitation from the IOC. Elena Vesnina was announced to perform in tandem with Ekaterina Alexandrova, but her participation has not yet been confirmed.
Andrei Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Daria Kasatkina, Lyudmila Samsonova, Anna Kalinskaya and Anastasia Potapova refused to participate in the competition.
