Head of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFT) Shamil Tarpishchev told that Daniel Medvedev can baffle any opponent with his combinations when he is in the right mood and physically ready, and also expressed hope that Medvedev will be able to compete for a medal at the 2024 Olympics.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has confirmed the participation of Russian tennis players Daniil Medvedev, Roman Safiullin and Pavel Kotov in the 2024 Olympic Games. Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) sent invitations to athletes for the Paris Games – the Russians accepted. They wanted to include Aslan Karatsev in the candidacy of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF), but so far he has not received an invitation from the IOC.
-Danya [Медведев] — the leader of our team, he can do everything on the court. I always say that on the court he is a philosopher. He thinks outside the box and can confuse anyone with his combinations when he is in a good mood and well prepared physically. Won silver in singles at the last Olympics [Карен] Khachanov now I would really like Daniil to perform at least as well in Paris. Medvedev is an artist who plays tennis alone. I think we will like him in France,” Tarpishchev told .
The Paris Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11. The tennis tournament will be played on clay courts.
