The Ukrainian and Timea Babos celebrated victory in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok successfully passed the second round in doubles Wimbledon 2024.
Performing in a duet with a Hungarian Timea Babosthe Ukrainian won against the pair Ellen Perez (Australia)/Nicole Melichar-Martinez (USA).
Kichenok and Babos started the first set with a break, but then played very poorly on their serve and suffered a final defeat with a score of 4:6.
The second set was much more confident for the Ukrainian-Hungarian duo. Kichenok and Babos held their serve well, giving their opponents a maximum of one or two balls in each game. At the same time, they made two breaks and celebrated the victory in the set with a score of 6:2.
The third set followed a similar scenario – once again Kichenok and Babos played masterfully on their serve, and thanks to two breaks they triumphed 6:2.
In the 1/8 finals of the Wimbledon 2024 doubles, Kichenok and Babos will face the winners of the pair Eja Muhammad (USA)/Aldila Sutjiadi (Indonesia) – Diana Schneider (-)/Elena Vesnina (-).
