Sun, ranked 123rd in the world, beat Britain’s Emma Raducana in the fourth round with a score of 6:2, 5:7, 6:2. The match lasted 2 hours 50 minutes.
Sun, 23, will face Croatia’s Donna Vekic in the quarter-finals, who beat Spain’s Paula Badosa in three sets.
Italy’s Jasmine Paolini also reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. At the end of the third set, her opponent, American Madison Keys, refused to continue the fight due to an injury.
