In a duel between two Ukrainians, Katarina defeated Yulia in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya beat another Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva in the first round of the tournament WTA 125 in Swedish Bastade.
The two-set duel between the two Ukrainians lasted for an hour and a half. In the first set, Katarina managed to snatch victory after 12 games. The second set was won by Zavatska, who won six games in a row.
Katarina took revenge for their first meeting. Earlier, Starodubtseva beat Zavatska in the Roland Garros 2024 qualification.
Katarina and Yulia played at Wimbledon 2024, which continues on the courts in London. Zavatska played another Ukrainian, Daria Snigur, in the qualification. Starodubtseva managed to reach the second round of the tournament.
