Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev reached the semi-finals of the Wimbledon tournament for the second consecutive year.
Medvedev, who received the fifth seed, defeated the world’s number one racket, Italian Jannik Sinner, in the quarterfinals with a score of 6:7 (7:9), 6:4, 7:6 (7:4), 2:6, 6:3. The meeting lasted exactly four hours.
Medvedev ended a five-game losing streak against Sinner. The score of personal matches is 7:5 in favor of the Russian.
The Russian will face the winner of the match between Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 3) and Tommy Paul (USA, 12) in his Wimbledon final debut.
