The Spaniard’s next opponent is the “neutral” Medvedev
World No.3 Carlos Alcaraz from Spain beat the American Tommy Paul, seeded 12th, in the quarter finals Wimbledon 2024.
The first set was won by Paul – 7:5. In the second set, Tommy led 2:0, but the American failed to develop his success. Alcaraz made two breaks in response and won 6:4.
In the third and fourth sets, Carlos achieved confident victories with the same score of 6:2. The Spaniard continues to defend his champion title.
In the semi-finals of the grass major, Alcaraz will play Daniil Medvedev, who today beat the world’s number one tennis player Jannik Sinner.
Two more semi-finalists of Wimbledon 2024 will be determined on July 10 in the matches between Lorenzo Musetti (Italy, 25) and Taylor Fritz (USA, 13) and Alex De Minaur (Australia, 9) and Novak Djokovic (Serbia, 2).
