Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev spoke about his victory over Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon tournament.

The Moscow native reached the semifinals of Wimbledon 2024 by beating the world number one with a score of 6:7 (7:9), 6:4, 7:6 (7:4), 2:6, 6:3. The athletes spent 4 hours on the court.

“I knew it would be a difficult match. At some point he didn’t feel very well, but I understood that he would be released. That’s what happened. I’m happy that I made good plays and won,” Medvedev said on the court after the match.

Medvedev’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 3) and Tommy Paul (USA, 12).
