Athletistic / Tennis. Australian world number nine Alex de Minaur has commented on the decision to withdraw from Wimbledon. He was due to play in the quarter-finals of the tournament against Serbian Novak Djokovic.

It was reported that de Minaur withdrew due to an injury he suffered in the fourth round match of the Grand Slam tournament.

“I am devastated, I had to give up because of a hip injury, a torn cartilage. I felt a crack during the last games of the match with Fis. I had a photo taken yesterday, it confirmed that I was injured with a high. This risks making the situation worse,” quotes Minora journalist Carole Bouchard.
