Athletistic/Tennis. The Wimbledon 2024 crowd booed the name of 24-time Grand Slam champion and world number two, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, the Daily Express reports.

According to the publication, this happened during an on-court interview with the world’s 25th racket, Italian Lorenzo Musetti, which he gave after winning the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2024. As Musetti faced Djokovic in the semi-finals, the interviewer asked him a question about the Serb, prompting boos and whistles from the crowd.

In the quarter-finals, Musetti defeated the world’s 12th ranked player, American Taylor Fritz, with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (7:5), 6:2, 3:6, 6:1.

Djokovic’s relationship with the Wimbledon 2024 crowd deteriorated after his match against Denmark’s Holger Rune in the round of 16 of the tournament.
