Athletistic / Tennis. Winner of Roland Garros – 2003, and now coach of Carlos Alcaraz, Juan Carlos Ferrero, shared his expectations regarding the match between his pupil and the Russian Daniil Medvedev. They will play the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2024.
“Medvedev is a tennis player who has earned everyone’s respect. Daniil beat Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals, who was considered almost invincible on grass, given the Italian’s style of play.
“Of course, Carlos is different from Yannick in terms of style. It seems to me that Alcaraz is more dangerous for Medvedev. But we have to be as focused as possible, as careful as possible,” Ferrero was quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper As.
The men’s singles semi-finals at Wimbledon 2024 will be played on Friday, July 12. The match between Medvedev and Alcaraz will start at 15:00 Moscow time. The second finalist will be determined by Serbian Novak Djokovic and Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
Note that in 2023, Daniil Medvedev lost to Carlos Alcaars in the semi-finals of Wimbledon. The Spaniard then won the grass-court slam by beating Novak Djokovic in the final.
