Finn Heliovaara and Briton Patten win men’s doubles at Wimbledon 2024

The fate of each of the three sets was determined in a tie-break.

Finnish tennis player Harry Heliovaara And Henry Patten from Great Britain became champions Wimbledon 2024 in men’s doubles.

In the final, Heliovaara and Patten defeated Australians Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson, who were seeded 15th, in a match that lasted almost three hours.

Interestingly, the fate of each of the three sets was determined in a tie-break. In the second set, Harry and Henry saved three match points: one at 5:6, the second and third in a tie-break.

In 2024, Heliovaara and Patten won their third joint title. In April, the Finn and the Briton triumphed at a tournament in Morocco, and in May, at a competition in Lyon.

Heliovaara won his second Grand Slam title in his career. In September 2023, Harry and Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina became the 2023 US Open mixed doubles champions. Patten won his first Grand Slam title.

Purcell won Wimbledon in 2022 with Matthew Ebden, making Thompson’s first Grand Slam final.

Today, Czech Barbora Krejcikova became the 2024 Wimbledon women’s singles champion. Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will play in the men’s final.
