Athletistic / Tennis. Russian tennis player and Olympic bronze medalist Nadezhda Petrova has shared her thoughts on Russian Diana Schneider’s performance at Wimbledon 2024. World number 30 Schneider reached the third round, where she lost to American Emma Navarro in three sets.

According to Petrova, Schneider has the necessary qualities to qualify for victory in the Grand Slam tournaments.

“I really liked the way Diana Schneider played. She played with a lot of confidence. I liked her match against Stevens. I thought if I kept playing like that, I could win the Grand Slam, on grass.

“She played simply superbly: clearly, along the lines. She didn’t leave her opponent a single chance. And then I couldn’t show the same tennis. At a two-week tournament it is difficult to show an impressive game again and again, as well as to maintain the right psychological attitude and self-confidence,” Petrova was quoted as saying by TASS.
