Russian Diane Schneider became the youngest tennis player since 2009 to win titles at Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournaments on three different surfaces, the WTA press service reports.
On Sunday, 20-year-old Schneider defeated Belarusian Alexandra Sasnovich 6:4, 6:4 in the final of the clay court tournament in Budapest. This season, the Russian also won the grass court tournament in Bad Homburg, as well as the hard court tournament in Hua Hin.
Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki won three WTA tournaments on different surfaces in 2009 at the age of 19.
