The Ukrainian tennis player defeated the owner of the courts, Clara Burel, in the second round of the tournament.

Marta Kostyuk confidently advanced to the third round of competition at the Olympic Games in Paris. In the 1/16 finals of the tennis tournament, our athlete defeated Frenchwoman Clara Burel in two sets.

The host of courts only competed in the first set of matches. In the first game, Kostyuk led twice with a break and served for the set in the ninth game, but failed to convert two set points, and ultimately won only in a tiebreaker.
