Polish tennis player Iga Swietek reached the semi-finals of the Paris Olympic tournament in singles.
Szwiatek, who received the first seed, met American Danielle Collins (8th seed) in the fourth round match. The meeting ended with a score of 6:1, 2:6, 4:1 due to the opponent’s refusal. In the middle of the third set, Collins took a medical timeout and was able to return to the game, but withdrew from the match with a score of 1:4 due to health problems.
