Russian tennis player Diana Schneider said mutual aid helped her and Mirra Andreeva reach the semi-finals of the Summer Olympics in doubles.
Earlier on Thursday, Andreeva and Schneider beat Czech Olympic champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova (2nd seed) in the quarterfinals with a score of 6:1, 7:5.
— Mutual aid helped us stay in the game at the right time.
—Your communication in difficult times is another story. Diana said her eye was twitching!
“Mirra’s hands are shaking and my eyes are shaking,” reports the correspondent, reporting Schneider’s words.
“It was after you scored, so if the eye twitches and it helps, I don’t mind,” Andreeva added.
In the semi-finals, the Russians will face the Spanish duo Cristina Buksha/Sara Sorribes-Tormo (8th seed).
