“I have nothing to lose”. Djokovic on the Olympic final against Alcaraz

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic commented on the final match of the Olympic tennis tournament against the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam winner, will face Spaniard Alcaraz in the final on August 4.

“Playing Carlos is probably the biggest challenge you can face on the court right now. Especially on the court where he won Roland Garros less than two months ago. We have only met once in this stadium, last year in the semi-finals of Roland Garros, but I lost to him in the Wimbledon final a few weeks ago. He looked very confident in that match. I think I am moving much better this week than I did at Wimbledon. I can only hope that when I get back on the court on Sunday, I will have the opportunity to play my best tennis. In a sense, I have nothing to lose in this final, because the medal is already assured,” quotes Punto de Break Djokovic.

Djokovic, 37, became the oldest player in Olympic singles competition since 1988.
