– I knew Corey was physically ready for everyone on the circuit, she runs very well, covers all the balls and all the angles of the court. So when there were long rallies and I won them, I thought: “Wow, I just beat Coco. I’m doing good today.”
“I tried to play more calmly, but everything inside me was saying: ‘Yes, I did it! This is my first victory here, in this beautiful stadium,” Schneider said according to the WTA press service.
In the quarter-finals, Diana Schneider will meet her compatriot Lyudmila Samsonova.
