Recall that Schneider reached the semi-finals of the competition. In the quarter-finals, she beat the Russian Lyudmila Samsonova.

In the updated WTA rankings, Schneider, 20, will reach at least 20th place. If she wins the tournament, she will become the 14th racket in the world.
