Russian tennis player Lyudmila Samsonova reached the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati (USA).
In the second round, Samsonova, who received the 10th seed, defeated Polish Magda Linette with a score of 7:6 (12:10), 6:1. The athletes spent 1 hour and 50 minutes on the court.
In the next round, Samsonova will meet Elina Avanesyan, who in early August changed her sports citizenship from Russian to Armenian.
