And according to the rules of the ATP and WTA, if there are no matches, the money for tickets must be returned to the spectators. Secondly, there is no broadcast around the world. And if there is no broadcast, there is no money for sponsors. Therefore, making a roof is very profitable. Yes, it is a big expense, but it can be paid off in just one day of the tournament, – Chesnokov told the Championship.
The final Grand Slam tournament of the season, the US Open, will take place from August 26 to September 8. Only two courts on which these competitions are held have retractable roofs.
