Athletistic/Tennis. Italian tennis player and world number one Jannik Sinner has spoken of the difficulties he faced after learning of his positive doping tests.

“I have a huge responsibility on my shoulders… I wouldn’t wish this on any player. I hope people understand why I was allowed to continue playing,” Sinner said in an interview with ESPN.

On August 20, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) released a statement announcing that Jannik Sinner had tested positive for doping in two tests in March. However, he avoided disqualification because the samples were contaminated by a spray his physiotherapist had used to treat a cut on his own finger.
