Keep in mind that Williams has recently been plagued by injuries, due to which he is no longer able to perform at his usual level.
Yesterday, August 8, the 40-year-old athlete won the first singles match since Roland Garros 2021. It happened at the WTA 1000 tournament in Canada. He missed last year due to injury and returned to Wimbledon 2022, where he lost in the first round.
