Athletistic/ Tennis. Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina explained why she performed this dance after winning the first round of the US Open.
At the start of the tournament, the Russian defeated Romanian Jacqueline Christian (69th WTA ranking) with a score of 6:2, 6:4.
“Dance? Calling it a dance is too much. These moves are a reference to our local joke with Natasha and Arina Rodionova. We agreed that I would dance if I won. Even though I really didn’t want to. But in the end, I danced – and I hoped that no one would notice. Now everyone knows how brilliantly I dance. Maybe if I win the next match, I will repeat this dance,” Kasatkina was quoted as saying by Tennis.com.
In the second round, Daria Kasatkina will face American Python Stearnsue
